The short version
- Exterior wash: every couple of weeks, and soon after any brine or salt.
- Interior clean: every month or two, more with kids, pets or a work truck.
- Full detail: a few times a year, especially after winter.
- Paint protection: reapply wax often, or apply a ceramic coating once for years of protection.
Winter (December to February)
Kentucky roads get treated with brine and salt, which cling to lower panels, wheels and floor mats. Wash the outside soon after a treated-road stretch, and do not let salty slush sit on carpets. An Exterior Shine handles the outside, and an Interior Refresh pulls salt and grit out of the mats and carpet.
Spring (March to May)
Pollen season coats cars in a sticky film, and spring rain bakes it on. This is the best time of year for a full detail to reset everything after winter. A Complete Package covers inside and out, and spring is a great time to add Ceramic Armor so the rest of the year is easier.
Summer (June to August)
Long drives, lake trips and strong sun mean bug splatter, faded trim and hot, dusty interiors. Wash bugs off quickly before they etch, keep a layer of wax or ceramic protection on the paint, and give the interior a refresh after road trips.
Fall (September to November)
Leaves, sap and bird droppings stain paint, and kids and sports gear are back in the car. Fall is the time to protect the paint before winter, either with fresh wax or a coating, and to deep clean carpets with Platinum Detail if the summer left its mark.

Questions
How often should I get a full detail?
A good general rule is a full detail a few times a year, at least once after winter and once before the next one, with regular washes in between.
How often should the interior be cleaned?
It depends on use. Kids, pets, commuting and work trucks all add up fast. Many drivers like an interior clean every month or two, and a deep shampoo when stains or odors build up.
Is a monthly plan worth it?
If you want your vehicle clean all the time, a Maintenance Plan is usually the simplest and lowest-cost way to do it, because you get a Complete Package every month at a lower monthly price.
