What Kentucky does to your paint
- Winter: road brine and salt cling to lower panels and wheels, and they keep working on your finish until they are washed off.
- Spring: tree pollen coats everything in a yellow-green film, and rain turns it into a sticky residue.
- Summer: strong sun fades and dries unprotected paint, and bug splatter etches in if it sits.
- Fall: leaves, sap and bird droppings stain the paint, especially on vehicles parked under trees.
Every layer of protection helps, but they last very different amounts of time.
Option 1: Wax
Traditional wax adds gloss and a thin barrier. It is affordable and looks great, but most waxes wear off within weeks to a few months, faster with frequent washing and winter brine. Protective wax is included in our Exterior Shine (from $110) and every package that includes it.
Option 2: Ceramic spray sealant
A ceramic spray sealant adds stronger gloss and water beading than wax alone. It is a great step up for regular maintenance. Our Platinum Detail (from $260) includes a ceramic spray sealant along with a full interior deep clean.
Option 3: Ceramic coating
A true ceramic coating bonds to your paint and forms a hard, slick layer. It is built to last for years, not weeks, so brine, pollen and bug residue rinse off much more easily. Our Ceramic Armor (from $385) covers all painted surfaces with 5+ year durability.

Which one should you choose?
Choose wax if you like a regular wash and shine and do not mind reapplying. Choose Platinum if the interior needs a deep clean too and you want extra gloss outside. Choose Ceramic Armor if you plan to keep the vehicle and want the easiest cleanups through every Kentucky season. If your paint has swirls, book Paint Correction first so the coating seals in a clean finish.
Questions
Is ceramic coating worth it in Kentucky?
If you plan to keep your vehicle for a few years, it is often worth it. A coating makes brine, pollen and bug residue much easier to wash off, and Ceramic Armor is built for 5+ year durability.
Should I get paint correction before a ceramic coating?
If your paint has swirls or light scratches, yes. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it. Paint Correction is a separate service, so ask us and we will plan both with you.
Can I still wash my car normally after a coating?
Yes. Coated paint is easier to wash. Avoid harsh brushes, and regular hand washes or a maintenance plan will keep it looking its best.
